“Straighten Up and Move” is the theme for this year’s World Spine Health Day
World Spine Day (WSD) on October 16th is more than just another day before Halloween celebrations; it is a global event created to raise awareness about spinal disorders and spine health awareness in general. WSD is designed to bring people from all walks of life together to embrace better spinal care and health practices. World Spine Day is just one day within Bone and Joint Decade’s Action Week and you can get involved in spreading awareness, too!
The idea behind World Spine Day is to unite people from around the world – patients, doctors, health care organizations and government associations and to find ways to help ease and prevent spinal disorders. The theme of this year’s world spine day is “straighten up and move” and encourages improved posture and increased activity to promote better spinal health practices.
World Federation of Chiropractic Annual World Spine Day Competition
The World Federation of Chiropractic is holding an annual world spine day competition to help increase awareness and promote spinal health awareness events throughout the world. It is their mission to help ease the pain of those suffering from spinal disorders and teach better practices to improve spinal health. The organization is hosting a world competition to encourage others to put together events that increase awareness about spinal disorders and better spinal health practices. They are offering prizes for professional associations, educational institutions and clinic/individuals that are putting together events for World Spine Day 2016.
